I would do that. Habs need a center now.

What do you think Lehkonen gets for a contract?

I love Lehky, but probably yes. How much would he cost on his contract?

2 point something on basically any length of contract.

Two 30pts RFAs. I would do a swap 1 for 1 but I don't get why you added a 2nd.

Especially that Lehkonen will come cheaper than Copp

Lehky got 13 points and Copp got 39...Copp is also a C...that's why there is a pick

With the same flawed logic, WPG should send back a 1st to MTL, since Lehkonen got 12 playoff points and Copp got none...

One 30pts player for another.

Nice logic...so Perry is worth more than McDavid?

Im glad you recognize it is flawed logic to compare 2 player's value on a small game sample.

Doesn't play center at all? He's played center for WPG before. This year moved to wing pretty much full time but still took bottom 6 faceoffs. Before this year he was a centerman full time.

He has been a winger for most of his career as he found a niche with Lowry. This year he did a lot at C thx to injuries and played 2C for a bit. He is totally capable of playing anywhere including his off side wing. Because of this, I think he may price himself out of Winnipeg

Copp had a great year, can play C and has more offensive upside than Lehko, so I understand that he carries more value than him. But MTL has no need to trade Lehko vs. WPG that needs to clear a player

A one for one trade remains fair

It could even end up in a trade a la Domi-Anderson where the team that sends the pick isnt the team we thought it was...

MTL needs an upgrade at 3C or an option at 2C. MTL C depth sucks
