Worst general manager in the league

Created by: CMcAvoy73
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 28, 2021
Published: Jul. 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Bruins needed a big splash on the left side of the D, one solid middle six option on the right side, and a cheap goalie to tide them over until rask was healthy.

Instead? A million bottom six options, a couple bottom pair D, and an overpaid goalie for 4 years. Puke.

Cling to every prospect you can don, all while making sure you block them with mediocre talent.

im saying after this season. Rask is gonna sign a 1yr deal for dirt cheap with performance bonuses for the playoff run and that's it. And Sweeney doesnt wanna rush Sways development which will take a few more years so Ullmark gives them that insurance of having a proven #1.

If rask was planning on just playing another season, and was going to miss the majority of it, don’t you think he would just hang them up now? He’s also said he would like to play three more years.

And proven number one? He’s played 35+ games once in his career. Coincidentally, his worst season with a .905 and a 3.11. He’s played precisely zero playoff games. Realistically, he hasn’t played in an important NHL game in his entire career.

Proven number one? Get real.

Things change quick, just bc he says he wants to play 3 more seasons after getting eliminated doesn't mean he's thinking that now. Maybe you're right, maybe he has decided to hang em up. There's a reason for these signings, management prob knows something we don't.

He is a proven #1, guy has consistently put up +.900sv% on a buffalo team that has been basement dwellers the past decade. The only thing hindering him were injuries but with how much they over worked him over there i'm not at all shocked. Swayman will give him a good balance. I can easily see both playing 50-30 or 40-40 games.

You’re all over the place on rask. The only thing that we do, flat out factually know is that he is not intending on retiring.

Ullman hasn’t done anything consistently. He hasn’t played consistently enough to have any sort of reputation like that.

Do you think 900 is good? That’s garbage man. Nothing to write home about. He might wind up being awesome, but calling him a proven number one is what a loser franchise would say. If you’re philly and trying to claw back to the playoffs, and are used to horrific goaltending…sure. Proven number one. Whatever. Not in boston.

Do you know that for a fact tho? Like are you speaking with rask on the daily seeing if he's retiring or not? I'm not trying to argue you here. All i'm saying is that you don't know for sure how he's feeling, I don't know how he's feeling, the only ppl who know what he's doing is rask & management is all im trying to point out, which may have influenced the ullmark signing.

Just watch how he does this season and don't say i didn't tell you so

At least 900 for several years on BUFFALO is EXTREMELY good yes

Don’t try to act like you’ve seen him play a million games. You’re going off the same numbers I’m seeing, and you’re reading them with very optimistic glasses.

One thing you may have missed in what i said was that i didn’t say we know rask is not retiring. I said, to repeat, “the only thing that we do, flat out factually know, is that he is not INTENDING on retiring.”

I don’t see any scenario where his intention was to retire, and he decided to play this huge joke on the bruins, the fanbase, the PA, and the media by definitively saying he intends to come back.
