As a Hawks fan. I now understand why Stan didn't qualify him. Can't give him 3.25M per year. Kubalik scored 30 goals and accepted $3.7M. I dont blame Pius Suter AT ALL. This is a life altering contract for him. I'd make the same move he did. I actually think this is a good move by Stan to avoid arbitration and try to force someone to stay and miss the UFA signing period. Allow Pius to go find out what he's worth. Preserve that Euro pipeline. Let's also not forget that Panarin got his schedule B bonuses on the 82nd game...and encouraged guys like Kane to NOT rest for the playoffs. Keep the pipeline happy. They'll keep coming.
