Maybe add a decent prospect but I feel like the clock is ticking for Adams

He has a lot of time. I'm sure some team will overpay for him at the TDL if he has a good year.

That cap hit and term is not a TDL type deal, it's an offseason type deal. He has a full NMC that kicks in next year.

Buffalo won't mind taking some bad contracts in order to maximize the return for Eichel. Cap shouldn't be a problem.

You got a couple less than great contracts headed to Buffalo here already.

Figures, take off the rose coloured glasses then. lol
All joking aside, draft order speaking, it's already 4 1st's and a 2nd. If Buffalo wants more, then that's too much to give up from the Habs. IMO

I'll take Suzuki, Caufield and Primeau for Eichel.

2 1sts and a 7th rounder for Eichel. Less than half of what's in this offer by "draft order".

Your arguments make no sense.

Nope. You're saying all your busts have the value of where you drafted them even though you reached. I'm saying that's just not true and gave an example of players who are worth more than where they were drafted.

I'm disputing your initial comment where you are want yet another 1st or 2nd on top of the 4 1st's and the 2nd that were already picked and currently play in the NHL.
There are no guarantee's that any draft pick will be as good as where they are picked. So to you what was missing was yet another mid round 1st round pick that would need to be added or the deal is a no go.
It shows that you don't have a single idea of what is required for a trade, yet alone a negotiation.
I would rather Eichel stay in Buffalo than Montreal give up let me now.......any combo of 6 1st's a 2nd and a 7th for him.

You still don't get it. Drouin isn't worth a 1st and Lehkonen isn't worth a 2nd; you can take those pieces out and put Caufield instead and the Sabres accept without adding another first.

YOU have no idea what these player are worth to other teams, you don't watch them for 82 games (56) this season per year like the rest of us fans of the team do.
Adding in names that are untouchable into a conversation just makes your points more and more ridiculous and shows no hockey sense.
The initial trade proposed was an over payment to begin with, without adding more or players like Suzuki and Caufield.

Lol. You say that but I doubt you watch every game Eichel plays. That's just hippocritical.

I don't think there's a deal to be made with Montreal for Eichel. Their only quality assets are Caufield and Suzuki.

You're saying players that are busts are worth a 1st and players that outperformed their draft positions are "untouchable". Clearly you're overvaluing your own teams players.

I never said I watched Eichel, he's a good player just not worth what you are proposing end of story.
It's comments like "Their only quality assets are Caufield and Suzuki." that shows your lack of knowledge.
Drouin could be construed as the only "bust" in that group group and that could be due to the way he was being used early on at C and with the pressure of playing in media crazy Montreal as a French born player. He should move on to another team for the betterment of both sides. And no not with Caufield and/or Suzuki and any # of 1st's for Eichel.
Kk is a project which is what they said when they drafted him, and Lehky is a quality 2nd pick that a lot of teams have tried to trade for. But I wouldn't expect you to know that.
There is no trade that would work with Buffalo.
