Description
We had a good day today. I love the McCabe signing, even in the money is a tap steep. If he can stay healthy, he looks to be the defensive defenseman we've desperately needed since Hjalmarsson left. Him and Jones could form a passable top pairing.

Khaira is a fine pickup, the cap hit is negligible and he's not a bad player necessarily. Only concern for me is that he'll probably take a roster spot from a young guy, which would kinda suck but I figure for the bottom 6 and the PK, he could be a solid add. Left him out of the lineup, just because that's what I'd prefer as of now.

Still don't think Fleury will play for us, so he's on LTIR lol

De Haan is a guy I could see being on the move at some point, but I'd prefer we keep him tbh. While I like going young at foward, I have no issue being a little older on defense, especially for a team with playoff aspirations. Injuries will inevitably happen and that's when Mitchell, Beaudin and Kalynuk will get shots at breaking in.

If we could find a way to turn De Hann and some excess assets into Dunn to play with Murphy we would have a really good defense.

I keep wishing this into the abyss, hoping it will listen and make it so... Would be brilliant.

I wish this as well. Wonder what it would take to get Seattle to budge on him

I’ve been high on Dunn for a long time, but with STL holding his rights it’s been less realistic than a pipe dream. I would trade Nic Beaudin for him 1 for 1 or throw some picks at Seattle to see if they would budge.

Saw your post with the 2 2nds for him. Feel like that *could* work, but I still think they'd want a little more back. That said, he's really good lol. If we can do it, do it

I would say that’s enough to get Ron Francis to give him up. Now, I tend to not like saying a GM is dumb to justify a trade but… well he’s kinda dumb.

Are you gonna keep the Forsberg handle forever, like just for lulz?

His moves so far have been odd, to say the least. Seems to be going for more established talent than youthful upside. Upon second thought, I think if he were to trade Dunn, it would have to be for players, or at least prospects as opposed to picks.

But you never know
