Honestly,
I'm more concerned for how the player is treated here.
Did he know? Was he packing up all his stuff to move, looking for a place to stay, etc.... just to turn around and now have to go back?

This is just bizarre. Hopefully they treated the player better than this.

Regardless, Kahkonen was always the better of those two exposed goalies and Dillon is better than Soucy. The plan doesn't matter, they picked the two lesser value options and now get the lesser value trade.

I can't deny it. I would pick Kahkonen as well. To me, that's a mistake from Ron Francis. He made a lot of mistakes. But one thing is for sure in this situation: THE GREAT LOSER IS COLORADO. Sakic thought that Landeskog was more important than Grabauer (goalies like Grub can win cups, even without a player like Landeskog. We cannot tell the same about quite the opposite), then Grubauer say him a GOODBYE. And now, Colorado has no real good option to be their starting goalie, unless for a trade (that probably will cost them a high price).

Well, Kuemper is a better goalie imo than grubauer, and trading a first and timmins for a landeskog type player is impossible. I would have gone Landeskog first too. There was a price to either option.

Colorado get FLEECED here. More than I predicted. Kuemper is a very good goalie, indeed. But he has just one year left in his contract and Colorado paid a HUGE PRICE to get him. If anyone thinks this is a W for Colorado, this one is completely OUT OF HIS MIND. Arizona staff and fans are LAUGHING OUT LOUD, after this trade.

Seattle front office making a mess of things. Vegas set unrealistic expectations for the Kraken and now they're gonna be a bottom feeder for many years.

Hopefully he didn't find out via twitter. There's a lot of that going on these days.

Never let in a goal for Seattle. Greatest goalie in Kraken history.
