The reason he was left unprotected was because that would remove his total salary which is Armstrong’s goal. The Blues don’t want to retain. Secondly the only piece of that the Blues would like is the pick. Probably looking for second pairing LHD and second line winger. The bottom six is done.

It’s been said on here many a time but the Blues and Leafs just really are a good fit for trade at this time.

That is true but the bigger take away from my point would be the blues want to retain little to no salary on him. I honestly think you could have him for just a decent prospect if you don’t ask for retention
