Trades with references

Description
Most of the trades have references. Howard should still get Jones' price. I think the soft goalie market is about equal to Jones being a backup at the time. The Tatar deal has no reference, and it may be off.

Howard no way.

1. He has term left on his contract at an awful cap hit.
2. He is hurt/older
3. He isn't being traded to be the #1 goalie of the future for anyone

The Jones reference can't be applied because Jones was 6 years younger, was an expiring RFA contract, and was needed on the team. Plus SJS was in the playoffs so that pick was going to be a late 1st rounder. Winnipeg would be essentially giving up a sure fire top 10 pick for Jimmy Howard. Come on..

I don't think Howard gets the Wings a 1st and prospect, however I think Mrazek absolutely would. The rest of your trades seem fair nice job.

I think two seconds from CHI, 17 2nd, and swap 18 2nds. Gotta retain salary on Howard, for any hope. Def no 1st

The rest are fine but Howard is getting us nowhere near a 1st rounder...maybe a 5th.

Yes. I would do all these deals. Maybe offer Winnipeg future considerations for their 1st round pick or something to sweeten the deal (Jurco or Sheahan)
