Just why?

We don't even know if we're going to make the playoffs.

Manson Is a great number 3 defencemen

Ottawa has lots of guys coming up at forward so giving up ridly isn’t a big deal when getting Manson back

And the two seconds are expendable ottawa still will have a decent amount of picks and it’s time they start trying to win.

And finally I think Manson would re sign in ottawa which makes it even more worth it
