Would think it would take more that a first to take on that much cap.

Not enough for Eichel
Especially considering Ottawa is a division rival

Ottawa says too much Buffalo says not enough.
athrin, I dig it. You are correct Tkachuk is very good, but to get Jack one has to give up something of value.
IMO it is fair, maybe drop the second.
Buffalove, actually it is pretty good offer.
Boucher was selected 10th OA last year.
Tkachuk is worth at least 2 first round picks
Then adding a first and a second.

Actually, Buffalo needs nearly all of that salary to reach the cap floor of $60,240,000.
With this trade the team is just $4,800,000 above the floor.
Only Kassian's salary extends beyond this year and he may have some value.
IMO if Buffalo retained half of his salary, he could return a 3rd or even a late 2nd.
GMTD liked this.

I don’t think Tkachuk is worth TWO 1st rounders
He’s a 20ish goal, 50ish point player
He wouldn’t even be an All Star on a good team
Only reason he is is bc he on ****ty Ottawa
