Description

The retool, while painful last season, has seen the Sharks in a better spot. They lucked out in the 2021 draft with Eklund and they got much-needed veterans filling slots in the bottom 6. Eklund and Bordeleau will likely need additional time in the cooker but some prospects will start knocking on the door for roles in the main roster. DW faces the need to balance competition for a playoff spot with cap space to re-sign Knyzhov and Ferraro. He also will look to move out players like Labanc, Simek, and Gambrell, ideally for draft picks to continue refreshing the prospect pipeline.

Note: Taxi Squad consists of players from junior hockey or AHL who are likely to receive call-ups during the NHL season.

Note 2: For games against rival teams (namely Vegas and LA), the 4th line will be: Viel - Pederson - Komarov
