Insanely hard pass and you're not even remotely close with that garbage offer.
Detroit doesn't want to or have to move Bertuzzi, nor does Bertuzzi want to be moved, so there is no reason for Detroit to even take "market value" - overpay, or no trade.

It's been reported from many sources that Detroit is open to moving him and the leafs have a lot of interest. I think you are overeating Bertuzzi a bit and a first round pick from a leafs team that may not even make the playoffs plus a B prospect with upside isn't a horrible deal at all.

Looking at the Leafs roster it's looking like they'll be fighting to stay out of the basement in the division with Detroit. It's also been reported from sources you have absolutely no clue when it comes to player values. Matthews for Dekeyser. It's been reported from sources Detroit has interest. This is fun.

Open to moving him does not mean selling him at market value.
I am open to selling my car, but someone would have to offer me more than the value of my car so I would be able to afford a replacement car and still have profit...

Not for the Leafs trash we're not moving Bert, If you can't even remotely make a decent offer then don't make one at all. because this offer is purely

Detroit does not have to trade Bertuzzi.
Bertuzzi have not asked for a trade.
Detroit have not put Bertuzzi on the block.
This is you trying to trade for a player Detroit doesn't want to lose.

Since I have summoned so many wings fans, what do you think Bertuzzis value is? I'm genuinely curious

His objective value and what it would take to tade for him are two different things.
He is a cost controlled first line winger on both Detroit and Toronto (as per your, and others, ACGMs) that plays both sides equally well and plays both PP and PK. He has great hockey-IQ, reads the play very well, and plays with tenacity and grit as well as being technically skilled and a good passer and is great at deflections.
If Detroit had had other players available that could take his place, or if he hadn't been cost controlled he would probably fetch around a 1st + a 2nd + a blue chip prospect to any contender. As it is he is so valuable to Detroit that any deal would have to include a direct replacement player in addition to that.
He's comparable in value to how you would view William Nylander if you didn't have Matthews, Tavares, and Marner on your team.
