buffalo counters with a 7th rd pick in 2027 for matthews (retained 50%). I believe that is a very fair counter offer.

This is why people say leafs fans are biased.

Sandin, Robertson, Amirov, 2022 and 2023 1sts would be a start

Buffalo has no use for Rielly, Engvall or Mikheyev.

They'd want Robertson, Sandin, Amirov and probably another piece. Wouldn't work for our cap situation.

They wanted 4 1sts for him I don't think we need to give them 5.

Well Robertson is technically a 2nd lmao. I just meant like cap implications would also be a problem right so Kerfoot and Rielly would probably be on their way out unless Marner was heading the other way

Would you trade Robertson for a random 1st round pick though? I wouldn't.

Oh it was just a joke lol, yeah I wouldn't move him unless there was a long term legit top 6 option (preferably a LW) coming back the other way

Buffalo counters with a conditional 7th for Matthews + Marner( 50% retained)
The Condition: If Marner and Matthews each score 300 points in the 2021-2022 season, Toronto gets the 7th. Otherwise, Buffalo keeps their 7th.

The asking price for Vegas was Smith, Hague, Krebs and a 1st. Based on that this is a pretty even deal. So it’s Morgan Rielly ( Reilly Smith) Amirov (Krebs) and Mikheyev and Engvall ( Hague) for Eichel. Rielly and Mikheyev can be flipped at the TDL. Engvall is a low cost bottom 6 forward. I’m not saying it’s fair value for Eichel but from what they were asking from Vegas I could possibly see it being a fit. I wouldn’t do it if I’m Toronto though. It’s bad enough having 41M for 4 forwards now you want 51M for 5?
