Hakanpaa provides basically no offense, but this is not too bad for a 3RD.

Crazy price for a 3RD that does nothing. It's the market, but I'd much rather give a young player the ice time

Good signing for the Stars. Jani wasn't as physical as I had hoped here, but he is more of a friendly giant and still plays a really good defensive game with few flaws in it. He's a super nice guy too, the Stars will love him. Also nice to get to see him go to another team with more of his fellow finns.

It's too much for a 7th D, but if Hakanpaa will play on the bottom pair regularly, the price is right.

Love the pick. Comes in at a cheaper price than Poolman and is 95 percentile in defense so why not.

Nice pickup for a depth defenceman. He’s as defensive as it gets. I think he’ll make a nice pairing with Harley next year if he’s ready for NHL action

The Stars already have some elite puck moving defensemen, so this is a great addition to the defensive side of that.
