I can't even imagine how insane this team would be if they opted for a Ned and Mrazek tandem instead of Freddy and Raanta.

I think that the FO really does think that Freddy and Raanta are better than Ned and Mrazek when behind their defensive scheme. We'll see.

They'll have great success, but they would be wrong in thinking either one is better than Ned. You guys still have a good tandem to be fair

The sample size is too small with Ned to be 100% sure about such an evaluation.

Ned was an .890 when Hamilton and Pesce were hurt after the Ayres game. There's a VERY good chance he regressed. They've looked at this and thought this is better than keeping him. They're usually right...
