So Seattle signs a free agent and trades him less than 2 weeks later good way to entice future free agents to sign SMH!!

The simple fact Seattle had driedger at the expansion draft and flaunted him to the fans kinda shows they plan to play him in Seattle not flip.

Apparently you missed the fact that they added Grubauer at 6 mill yesterday.

You don't give away 2nds for free and 22 is a stacked draft. If Seattle signs Petruzzelli they have Grubauer, Griess for a year and then either Petruzzelli or Daccord to back up next year and clear an unnecessary few million from their books. They didn't anticipate getting Grubauer and doing so makes Driedger expendable. It's just the reality of the situation.

Ok I’m pretty sure you quoted the wrong guy.

Dude you don't give up decent picks in a strong draft, For garbage picks. We're not surrendering 2nd and 3rd round picks for 4th round picks that have less then a 75% chance of even making the NHL that's not what good GMs even do.

Can't see them moving dreidger after just signing him. Nothing about that offer is enticing enough.

That Seattle move doesn't really make sense for Detroit. Driedger had one decent year, I still think he's unproven. Not worth a couple seconds, also Petruzzelli can be signed for free in a few weeks anyways, he has no value.
That Dvorak trade is interesting, I wouldn't mind seeing him for the right price. That said you are probably paying more for them to take Neilson and there is a ton of cap space for him here. They have more than enough cap to not need any extra to reach the floor. I would probably drop the fourths and just send the 2024 2nd. If that doesn't get it done then that deal doesn't need to happen. Dvorak could walk by the time Detroit is competing.
