Thank you very much Richard. Now GO FORTH and enjoy your Stanley Cups.

I am off to pray and repent for my sins of being a Sabres fan.

Good offer. Accepted. We may keep Kadri until deadline to protect the young centers from being fed to the wolves if we can't find a vet elsewhere

A 2023 first? I don’t think that’s happening.

The issue with Kadri is that he has a partial NTC and Buffalo might be on that no-trade list. Ottawa is closer to home though so presumably he'd be ok going there for a year. Ottawa have been linked to Kadri and apparently love the fact that he has a $2m salary this year which is very low for a top 6 C.

Apparently Vegas are unwilling to let go of Krebs. I think a deal with Newhook would be a really strong offer for Buffalo to refuse, regardless if the 1st is a year later.

Honestly, Eichel for Newhook 1 for 1 is a better deal than most deals proposed on this site. Deal above is definitely competitive and probably gets it done. Nice work.

Seems like a tough player to give up on because the ask is for a 1st a year sooner.

Man, it would be nice to not get scooped by Vegas since they really want (and need) Eichel. Mac and Jack down the middle would be the second coming of Sid and Geno.

Better for them to get an NHL-ready first than a late first who is years down the road. I think they'd strongly consider this offer.

Another point to consider here is that Buffalo would be sending Eichel to a western conference team which obviously has its advantages for them compared to trading him to NYR or Montreal who they'll likely be battling for playoff spots with in the coming years (if and when they do end up becoming competitive again with the pieces from the Eichel trade).

I think that is their preference, for sure, to send him out west. If Joe could swing a deal like this, it would be the piece de resistance of his tenure as GM. Don't think he's in on Eichel but maybe the longer Adams hangs onto him, looking for the right deal, the more likely it becomes that a less obvious team, like the Avs, get in on the action.

Sakic has $4.43m left in capspace for a forward after signing Jost. The longer time goes without Sakic finding a suitable solution to how to use that capspace the more he has to start to look at other, perhaps bigger, options. Like Kadri+++ for Eichel. Or Kuznetsov for Compher++.

Kuzy is a MASSIVE risk - can't see Joe bringing him in
