Hard to believe the Ranger would do that deal as posted here. Over the cap with bonuses, big RFAs signings next season.

The main goal for the sabres is to get the best center prospect they can find in an Eichel trade and the Rangers don’t really have a good one. From the reports it doesn’t sound like they will come to an agreement.

It shouldn’t be over the cap with bonuses, you get 6.5 in space, the extra 1.75 more than covers that. Regardless It sounds likes Strome would be moved out in this scenario anyway

You absolutely should be targeting the best centre prospect but teams don't seem close to even giving any up, LA are out so no Turcotte or Byfield, Wild will probably be better keeping Rossi and Boldy on ELC's because of the buyouts of Suter and Parise, and Anaheim won't budge on Zegras, is their any other teams with solid centre prospects you'd want to make a deal with?
