I think the more likely reason bc of this is Dadonov being a vet backfill to inevitably losing Smith (and tuch) in an Eichel deal.

Buffalo would value RS more and VGK would values RS less bc of term (flip ability and losing him), so RS just seems more likely.

I also think McNabb could be part of the deal to avoid salary retention, perhaps BUF adds a young LHD like Samuelson who is ready to play on a bottom pair for cheap. Money all evens out.

Can't see Buffalo retaining, wonder if Vegas sends Stephenson to balance the cap out and Buffalo gets a useful player that's tradable if they want.
