Then why do you have him playing with Tavares and Nylander if he would round out his game with Matthews and Marner?

I wouldn't mind DeBrusk and don't think you have to give up a 1st for him

There not a chance Debrusk is worth that much lol, and Gudbranson is awful - doubt Dubas signs him

Dubas tried signing Hakapaa at the same cap as the Stars according to Eric Engels. Gudbranson is the next available defensemen that plays a similar style as Bogo

Why do so many Leafs posts have such undermanned rosters? Big overpay for DeBrusk. You would think if Gudbranson is a NHL good, he gets more than 750,000. Wouldn't the Oilers be much better off signing Gudbranson and not giving up anything for more expensive Dermot?

(a) the Oilers 2022 2nd is not available, and (b) they don't have the cap space for Dermott. Dermott's not worth a 2nd anyhow, IMO.
