Only reason Chicago trades him is if he won’t play there, so why would a team give up value for him

We got him for "Free" because we took his entire 7 mil contract. If the Pens want him at half his contract they will have to pay the vig. Hawks hold all the power here if Flower wants to retire they don't have the cap hit but Vegas will. Pens want him the Hawks can play hard ball especially if they need Chicago to eat half of his cap hit. The Hawks have been held ransom for over a decade with cap problems now they can weaponize the cap for thier benifit!

Chicago is also stuck in this scenario whereas Pens don’t ‘need’ Fleury

Vegas doesn’t face any cap regardless…

Based off of that Jones deal I’m sure Hextall wouldn’t be worried about any ‘hardball’ either
