Buying out Koskinen would be a huge mistake. They wouldn't be able to afford to pay a goalie next year. Instead they should retain salary on a Koskinen trade to make it equal salary.

It’s a huge if as far as Seattle making that trade but it’s clear Grubauer is their guy. It’s a decent idea to trade Koskinen but I’m not sure what the market for him would be and if we retain it’s only worth it if the retention is similar to the buyout
