For starters I'm not a fan of the oilers I was just looking at this and thought that these were the best way to address your needs for this year and not overly hurt you in the long run let me know what you think

First Trade with the devils was solid, but Puljujarvi for Montour is crazy I think. Yes, Oilers want another good RHD, but giving up on a top 4 pick within a year of drafting him is a massive risk that could severely backfire, especially in the same division. I'm not a huge Puljujarvi fan even (my CBJ passed on him in the draft) but considering he possesses great skills, I'd be extremely leery of moving him unless it's an overpayment coming to Edmonton.

I really like that Montour trade as both players are question marks but can turn into something good. Plus it addresses both teams needs. Don't know if anyone is going to touch Mike Cammalleri, and Pavelec doesn't do much and would rather have Quincey instead, as weird as that sounds.

There is zero reason for the oilers to do this. Why give up puljujarvi?

Because they need a young right hand D that has the potential to be a #1 D man I like puljujarvi I just think that with the forwards that they have they could stand to make that switch and it not hurt to bad as for Quincy forpavs I wasn't to sure about it but jets need a lefty even for the rest of this season and the oilers need a back up of sorts and then Cammie and pouliot are kind of a swap of bad contracts plus oilers get PA

Trading Puljujarvi will come back to hurt the Oilers. He'll be an elite scorer in the NHL. People who are worried about him after he struggled in the NHL this season don't realize how different the Finnish league is from the NHL. Giving him time in the AHL is what he needs, and he's playing very well down there.
