Col isn't in the position Cap wise to keep Eichel, even with that super low end deal. They also no longer have anyone to replace EJ who they actually need to play now.

There is no way anyone gives you a 1st for Oloffson

Ana doesn't need the cap space yet to give up an asset to move him.

The Montreal Canadiens are not going to be a playoff team next year.

Is this the same Cody Eakin who turns 31 this season and scored 7 points in 46 games last season? While 32-year-old-to-be Adam Henrique was scoring 21 points in 45 games?

Eakin = less than 0.4 PPG over his career
Henrique = 0.57 PPG over his career

Even if you want to argue that they have equivalent value on the ice, which I think is cuckoo, how can the draft pick be going to Buffalo? And one that will probably be in the top 40, too.

you'd have a better chance of convincing people to give you Lafreniere Kakko Schneider and a 2022 1st Round pick for Eichel than you do getting a First for Olofsson.

It's not going to be Anaheim adding in a Henrique-Eakin swap, let alone a possible top 40 pick. Eakin had one decent season in 18-19, but he's now one of the worst regular NHLers.

Cody eakin has 2.25 million left on his contract. Adam Henrique has 17.5 million left on his contract and cleared waivers a few months ago

Henrique has 3 years left at 5.85 million and was unclaimed on waivers months ago.

Teams are paying to lose contracts left and right around the league

It's usually teams getting rid of dead weight to contend. Henrique is still one of Anaheim's top forwards and they don't have to trade him for cap space.
