Sharangovich is worth more than Mercer at this point.
Either way, Devils would never add either of them to Ty Smith.

Smith and Hughes are pretty close in value.

I think you're undervaluing Hughes... He's much better than Jack if that's what you're going on by comparison.

I know Quinn Hughes is really good (at least offensively), but Ty Smith is as well. Smith was picked 10 picks after Hughes in the 2018 draft at #17 overall and he’s already at about 0.5 PPG with good underlying numbers. I think a trade of Smith and a first for Hughes would already be approaching good value because of how similar the two are. Both Smith and Hughes are listed at 5’10” and about 175lbs, they’re both LHD that play an offensive-minded game, and they’re both the same age. This trade is like upgrading Smith offensively for the price of Muk and a 2nd/1st, which I would consider a slight overpay (with a 1st) until considering the value of having the Hughes trio together on the same team.

TL;DR Smith and Hughes are pretty much clones of each other except Hughes produces more points and therefore Muk and a 1st is more than fair value to upgrade Smith by ~0.5 PTS/60.
