Might be a overpay on the Rangers. Lundkvist has just as much potential as Turcotte in my opinion.

My thoughts are that this trade sucks for the Kings.

Re-evaluate this trade in a year or 2.

I can see the Kings wanted to keep Turcotte, great potential.

I dont know if I give up Lundkvist, nevermind adding, for a guy putting up similar stats to Lias Andersson in the AHL.
Forbesy liked this.

How is that? Lundkvist is a top 3 D-prospect in the league right now.

Wrong side for us.

Kings right side depth: Doughty, Roy, Walker, Clarke, Faber, Strand.

They are set on the right, left, there is no top left D prospect.

True, but Lundkvist is better then all of them minus Doughty, can't have to much of a good thing, Kings should know they are 9 deep in the center position.

He hasn't played a single NHL game, so that is yet to be seen and saying he is better prospect than Brandt Clarke is a bold statement.

Turcotte hasnt played a single NHL game either, so everything is going off of potential and scouting reviews.

Nope, off limits from what I have heard. They have big plans for him.

They cant have big plans for Nils AND Schneider. Gonna take too long for Troubas NMC to become NTC

You are mixing up my points here, 1st (and most importantly) the Kings don't need help on the right, they need it on the left. 2nd if they traded Turcotte they'd want an established NHLer under 25 who is an LD and they will pay for it. So the Kings would trade Turcotte but it would need to be for an established 25 y/o or younger established defenseman. And the main player they wanted just signed an extension (Werenski). Unless K'Andre is for sale and can eat 20+ minutes a night this season, unlikely the Kings and Rangers will be trade partners

if Eichel's health weren't a question there wouldn't be a realistic trade out there....with his ability, contract, and term the demand would be so cost prohibitive that I don't think any team would be willing to send the required assets toward BUF.

Well, if Eichel doesnt want to play for them, theyre better off taking the best deal possible than have him in the press box.

The thing is… how do you give up an under 25 y/o first pairing LHD who will eat 20 mins a night for someone who hasnt played a minute in the NHL? Its an established for a maybe with a lot of potential.

Good question, because Turcotte will not be the only player going, the Kings would have to add in an active NHLers, prospects on the cusp, and picks. And they are willing to do that, they have a full cabinet of prospects and all their picks, it's the last peice they need and they will overpay for the right guy.

Im in the minority of Rangers fans that doesnt think Miller is untouchable because I like Robertson a lot. I think Robertson has the potential to be a better overall defenseman. However hes not ready yet and we dont have someone to fill the spot in the meantime if we trade Miller.

Let's have Turcotte make it to the big show and I think you will be more interested in Vilardi, I fully expect Turcotte to start in the NHL and continue to play wing with Byfield.

I think the reason he doesn't want to play for them stems from the differences in opinion regarding how to address his neck issue!! In any case- I do think the situation between him and BUF front office is beyond repair and they should just take their best offer and move on.
