You know who else wouldn’t be too bad? Jesper Wallstedt.

I was too kinda mad that we didn't get Jesper, But we still got a really good winger and a friend for Draisaitl from Germany

He's terrible and worse than either Smith or Koskinen. He might not even be as good as Stalock, but he's 4x the cap hit.

I wouldn't trade for Korpisalo even if the ask was Future Considerations. He's a cap dump and Edmonton isn't in the market for cap dumps.

I think Korpisalo did badly because he was in a bad team. If you look at him every game really not statistically, You can see that Korpisalo makes a lot key saves

Korpisalo faced fewer shots and fewer high danger shots over the past 3 years than Koskinen did. Columbus plays a very structured defensive game and has some very good defensemen (Werenski, Jones, Savard, etc). Even then Korpisalo's results are worse than Koskinen's and among the worst in the league.

Anyone can look up these numbers, it isn't rocket science. He SUCKS, he's a cap dump, the end.

Wallstedt won’t be useable for many years.

Still a Chiarelli-level move.

Right or wrong, Koshiken seems to be the whipping boy for Edmonton fans. Seems like ALL other goalies in the league are better than him, Think Oilers fans should look at facts.
Same in LeafLand. Engvall, Mikheyev, and Dermot seem to be the reason the Leafs faltered in the playoffs according to many. So we trade them for bottom enders from non playoffs teams are supposed to solve the Leafs problems.

4 shots 4 goals. Nuff said. 25% of his starts he let in the first goal on first shot. My arm is sore from the whipping. What a joke. Lol.

Not attacking you. Just to let you know

Lol..I really hope we don't do this trade. Scares me. Just BC of the cost of a 1st and Sammy?!! Yikes.

Also, I seen something today I think on Oilersnation or 630 ched. They have yammy getting 2.2 million. So maybe you're right there.

Well, when I see trades suggested that the Oilers trade for 3.30 GAA Korpisalo and a below .900 save %, and the Oilers give up a first rounder for a privilege, I wonder if Peter Chiarelli is making CapFriendly posts.

I really hope we don't trade for him. Especially at the cost of Sammy. There's been a lot of head scratching moves. But we'll see

Bad for the Oilers that Koshiken didn't have his contract end in 2021. Lots of good UFA goalies were available this summer for well under 4.5m
