fair enough but he has just one year left and a chance to play with the 2 best players in the league and a legit chance to win another cup if he were to come here could see it happening tbh its just one year and for another cup run. Could also sign 1 day deal with the pens and retire the following season

Turris and Russell have virtually no value in Ottawa because they are essentially cap dumps.

If you upgraded the 3rd round pick to a 2nd, we would consider.

Both veterans and OTT could use all the vets they can get this year to help all the young guns on the team OTT is a really, really young team. And the Cap dump wouldn't even add up to 3M if it was in the 4M range its worth a 2nd but its not so a 3rd is completely fair. OTT would be crazy to decline a free 3rd round pick for cap space they need to use anyways

Kassian is a pretty valuable player but ok and good luck getting the pens 1st from them they've traded their last 4-5 first's you really think they wanna go down that road again? its quite possible but un-likely

It's a 3rd round pick that we won't be able to use in 3 years.

We would then need to spend at least another 3 years trying to develop that pick.

That takes us all the way to the year 2027.

Assuming that pick even has a chance of playing in the NHL.



Our team has burned quite a few bridges with Turris.

He and Russell are due a combined 2.9 million in salary.

All it does burn a hole in our pocket.

you guys literally have to spend cap y'all don't have a choice you guys have 30M in cap atm.... both are on 1 YEAR deals I'm sure a 3rd round pick for 2 vets on 1 year deals is a win for the sens considering you guys need to meet the cap....
