Description

Canes have a 3 year window to win a cup and need to outbid others. Could be a different prospect than Suzuki, but Canes should pay up for chance to improve their top 6 scoring.

I bought out DeAngelo because he's a train wreck and I'm predicting that he'll be off the team before the season ends. Gardiner has to be bought out at this point, no one is taking that contract.

Extend Nino, and he straight up has more value than Tarasenko. Niederreiter produced more last year in a shortened season than Senko has in the last 2 years. Name recognition doesn't last that long. It's why Corey Perry and Jason Spezza aren't still superstars.

I think that’s an overpay for tarasenko nino has played well these past couple of years while tarasenko is a massive risk having 3 surgeries in 2 years while only playing 34 games during that time.

I’d trade Niederreiter 1-1 for Tarasenko.

Heck no to adding a good prospect and a pick.

They didn’t sign DeAngelo just to turn around and buy him out. If he keeps quiet and scores 50pts this season, snagging him for just $1M will have been genius.

I wouldn't like to take on Tarasenko at full unless Gardiner is going the other way. I think if this was the offer made the Blues would have accepted a long time ago

Massive overpay. Probably Nino straight up. Huge risk for Carolina to take that contract for a player for injury troubles. But, it could pay off big time.

Overpay for Tarasenko. Buying out DeAngelo for 0 reason other than you don’t like the guy, makes no sense.

I'd love to see that happen. I'd even be open to adding a in a pick or something to dump Gardiner.

Blues won't take on Gardiner at all. The trade above is an overpayment on Carolina's side. Nino for Vova 1 for 1 works for me.
