@Ledge_And_Dairy That would be quite the return for Eichel.
If I could make one change make it a 2022 second.
Then the Sabres have six picks in the first rounds next year.
The Flames are still giving up a lot to get him.
Monahan, Sean traded to Boston for players and picks
Dubé, Dillon [RFA Rights] third line center
Zary, Connor high potential of being a top six center
2022 1st round pick (CGY) should be among the last 8 in the draft.
2023 2nd round pick (CGY) so should be nearly a third.
Sabres get two players who would be in the line up next year, Dube and DeBrusk.
Two more prospects who could see action the following year, Vaakanainen and Zary.
For that return, I could see the Sabres holding some of Eichel's salary.

Done. Send in the paperwork...
You got that right.
Quoting: Buffalove
It’s certainly A LOT of pieces
Only Zary is high end though imo (this is true but there are two other first round picks, Dube and Vaakanainen, while DeBrusk may find more scoring opportunities in Buffalo as well), so it’s possible it could get beat - especially if a team like LA, Minny or the Ducks decide to get serious
I wouldn’t be too upset if this were the deal that ends up happening though
I’d prefer the 3rd team wasn’t Boston though….
Don’t wanna help them at all
I think Boston would be helping Buffalo more than Calgary is helping Boston.
This is a fair return for Monahan:
DeBrusk, Jake underperforming LW
Moore, John IMO a cap dump
Vaakanainen, Urho former first round pick not a huge asset
2022 1st round pick (BOS) Most likely one of the last 8.
One of the best returns for Jack Eichel IMO
