I can't see VGK doing this deal, or anything close to it, frankly.

With how expensive Dmen are getting...and how good Tuch is...and how highly they value Krebs...plus a 1st and 2nd?

I think this is well above the maximum value VGK is willing to pay for Eichel.

I’m not sure Buffalo is in the market for another goaltender. Acquiring a semi competent starting goaltender might ruin their opportunity to lose 65 out of 82 games next season. With the goaltending staff they have currently it’s pretty clear they don’t intend to win any games. Might as well be all the way awful instead of only mediocre. Arizona isn’t trying either, so they have some competition.

Well Tuch is now out 6 months so that does hurt his value slightly.

McNabb is because we need a Defensive Dman and then Vegas can bring up their young RHD.

Smith is part of the money exchange.

Krebs is the primary and most important piece.

The 1st is almost assuredly going to be very late and the 2nd would likely be hooked to some general conditions(doesn’t turn into a 1st however)

Why would any team want to come close to the record of worst team in NHL history? I want to help my young players grow; not bury them under 5 goals against every game.

That’s what happened when Carter Hutton was here. Now Carter Hutton is slated to be the starter in Arizona. If the Sabres want to have the worst record and guarantee themselves a really good player in the draft they’re going to have to have terrible goalies. Never mind that no one wants to watch this team Or buy tickets this year if that’s the case, it’s about the long-term.
