    Why would Vegas do that?

Vegas still need a 1st line center. And if they want to bring in Eichel they still need cap space, even with Tuch on LTIR. And Pacioretty didn't show up in the playoffs. Kerfoot did and is a cheaper, versatile player.

Why is 11 points in 13 games a "no show" but 6 points in 7 isn't? Thats an almost identical pace

Fair enough. I should specify my comparison: I meant especially the series vs. MTL when it mattered. 3 points in 6 Games didn't looked that good. And Kerfoot did not play first line minutes. My main point was the cap hit anyway.

Kerfoot averaged 17 minutes in the playoffs, thats definitely at least 2nd line time, Patches averaged 18. You are kinda reaching here.

While I agree that Kerfoot was solid and Patches was bad in the MTL series you are looking at pretty small sample sizes. I can also make the argument that Patches played primarily against the Danault line whereas Kerfoot definitely didnt

Well that’s terrible value on Patches, try Amirov and Robertson.

This makes zero sense for Vegas

That doesn’t give them a reason trade their best left winger

    Unlike Patches
Kerfoot wasnt a big enough factor to even be blamed for a loss

If anyone takes it Mark Stone IMO has to own it
He kept rushing entry into the zone thinking eventually he's over power Petry
He just kept making the same mistake over and over.

TML on the other hand the coach ****ed them
If They split up Marner/Matthews we would have had to split up Danault/Gallagher
MM and AM both thrive on their own
PD and BG arent the same level of defenders apart
If your Coach had payed attention to this fact no way we win

But the real defining moment for TML losing was game 5 when the coach Challenged for Goaltender Interference and failed.
The goal counted and we scored again on the PP all because your Goalie didnt make the effort to recover and make the save.
He just layed out facedown on the ice like he was just shot

That was the defining moment for me
TML stopped believing they could win
You saw the life get sucked out of the bench
Marner kept his head down the rest of the series and was unheard from
Austin Matthews to his credit battled but focused more on 1v1 power battles then shooting pucks.(still hell of an effort )

    You seen VGK roster?

They are just under 250K over the roster
They got only 6 D signed
IF anything they'll want a top 4 RD under 25 years old capable of playing 18-20 minutes a night atleast

They may move out a Marchessault or maybe even a Pacioretty
But their end game will be getting that top RD locked down

    They got Depth everywhere else
But their Rd needs a shot of youth to their core
