With the statement put out by Eichel's agent, that's an overpay. I'd say Krav + Jones + Georgiev + 2022 2nd + 2023 2nd...with conditions for those picks to become 1sts should he play 50 games each season.

People thinking that a strongly worded letter is going to tank Eichels value are living in fantasy land. Leverage this and temperature that…. At the end of the day the Sabres have the leverage bc Jack Eichel is under contract for 5 more years.

It looks like Adams will legit have him sit out before they get taken in a trade like this, especially in the conference.

A strongly worded letter...usually have to take with a grain of salt since it's part of the negotiation process. But in this statement there is an admission that the "conservative approach" isn't working and that a surgical procedure will be required- this is the crux of the matter...traditional procedure? or the procedure Eichel wants? Unless another team is 100% on board with the procedure Eichel wants (which would make him the 1st NHLer with this surgery) then what GM of sound mind would be willing to "cave in" to Adams' demands- only to assume his argument with Eichel?

This tactic by Eichel's agent is definitely unusual. I would be worried that it highlights his injury a little too much, and other teams alway worry when agents try to flex their muscle and interfere with the process, because it makes them think it could happen to them.
