If Liljegren shows well, Sandin could be the odd man out. Dermott showed better in the playoffs than Sandin did and is better on the Left than the right.

Spezza 4th line only. Put mikheyev on 3rd line, and Robertson 4th line LW. Spezza and Simmonds rotate in and out of lineup.

That's a sample size of like 4 games. Sandin is ideally our #1-2 LD of the next decade. We aren't giving up on him

Liljegren is, so he’s probably in the AHL again and is the first player up in case of an injury. Joey Anderson is waiver eligible and I doubt the leafs want to lose him so I think he gets a shot

It seems like the Leafs want one pure defence “shutdown” line in the bottom 6. So moving mikheyev up to the more offensively oriented line would go against that. I hope Keefe scratches Simmonds but considering both he and Thornton played every game last year (when healthy) makes be doubt that

Who said anything about giving up on him. All I am saying is he's not a lock.
