Description
This is just for fun. I was about 9 when the pens won the cup in 2017. I didnt know anything about hockey. Our family went to my friends house because it was game 6. My brother went for the Preds because our whole family was going for the pens lol. After the pens won that cup. I knew from that moment I wanted to be a hockey player. I dont think I'm gonna get there, but I do know alot about hockey. From then to now I have been studying hockey. My goal is to become the next GM of the pens and win them a cup, from the Lemieux era, to the Crosby era, and hopefully to my era. The reason I'm doing this thread is because I just rewatched the 2017 cup win, I almost cried. Just looking back at it is amazing. Happy Birthday to Evgeni Malkin, the Geno Machino.

And then right after NHL says there’s a maximum amount of players you can have your team that are retained as 5 players that were retained on is a lot

Sorry to ruin your dreams but I don’t think it’s going to happen. But these are some pretty accurate trades imo

I also dream about being a gm some day but the chance is slim to none

Good luck in life to you

I believe the rule pertains to how many player your team can retain salary on (3 players max) but I don't think it limits how many players you can have that other teams are retaining salary on. Please correct me if I'm wrong

That’s why I said the NHL creates a rule on how many players you can have that are retained as you are correct there is no such rule

Detroit have 17 defenders under contract and you'd have to take someone back for this to be possible.

Staal if he waives his NMC or DDK (with 50% retained).

BTW. How do you guys look at Clang vs. Blomquist?

Honestly Good Luck Brudda. Hope you make it there and Make Crosby a coach if he accepts. Good luck on your journey and I hope you can be a Gm of the year runner up 10 times in a row to me. JK maybe.

I think if the Hawks were willing to retain 1/2 they could get more for Flower. Same with Murrey.
