It’s been well-reported that the Devils are still looking for a top-6 winger this off-season. Listing ten possibilities here with their probabilities of a move occurring, the cost and impact for Devils.

Let me know which you think would be best 2 or 3 options for NJD.

Tatar make sure the most sense to me, Debrusk is also not a top 6 winger

Johnny G would be a good add but costs too much. Rather try to sign him as a UFA
Tarasenko would be good if his cost is low
Smith could be available for cheap if Vegas is trying to clear cap
Bertuzzi just resigned so I don't think he'll be available. Plus, some bad history between him and Hughes
Rakell and DeBrusk are decent options but there are better options
JVR would be a good option, same with Nino. Just depends on cost
Big no on Meier
Tatar wants term so I doubt we get him

Bertuzzi won't be traded unless for a massive overpayment (think - Bratt + Holtz) so he's not a good option for you.

Tatar is the obvious choice if you can get him at a decent term and price.

Bertuzzi was just signed to a reasonable 2 year deal, pretty sure Yzerman wants to see how his back holds up before committing long term on him.

Feels like they are at an impasse. Only one I believe is still a fit (assuming health) is Tarasenko. As your comments mention on the others; contracts, cost/availability, age, outside top 6 etc etc, makes me believe Fitz holds here & plays the long game.

If price on Tarasenko drops, its a go, but then other teams would step in as well. NJ has done plenty already ... more than most expected. Let it gel. Next year, NJ knows more about what they have in that forward group;

Zacha & Bratt at ceiling or is there more?

Is Kuokkanen middle six or bottom?

Johnsson bounce back or out?

Is Boqvist a keeper / answer at 3C?

Can McLeod give more, will he fall back or is he a long term answer at 3/4C & on the PK?

Was Sharangovich a flash or Top 6 long term?

Will the real Miles Wood please stand up? If it's last years, let's resign, if its Hynes' Wood, time to deal ....

Can Nico stay healthy?

Did Jack explode to next level?

How did Foote, Clarke, Mercer, Holtz et al progress ... what do they really have?
