Not worth it in my opinion. Koskinen has better numbers and the Oilers are only really clearing 1.7M in cap here. Not worth a 1st round pick at all. Maybe Marody and a 4th or something along those lines.

Edmonton management is horrible. I'd give a 2nd max and only if Korpisalo was half retained.

Korpisalo is overrated because of that Leafs play in series. Koskinen actually has better numbers.

If it's Koski and a 1st for Korpisalo half retained, sure, since that much in cap savings could mean Ryan Murray being signed to play with Bouchard. Ideal. But if there is no retention as mentioned above, 1.7 mil savings isn't enough for a 1st. What value will that bring in other than a 4th liner or 6/7 dman? It wouldn't, so not valuable enough. But Kenny...doesn't do well with capology.

Unless this is a precursor to another big trade for EDM where theyll need extra cap space, this makes so little sense. A 1st is too high of cost for this type of move.

Lol giving up a 1st to go from one bad Finnish goalie would be an amazing mistake. Hell, Koskinen has had a better regular season sv% in each of the last three seasons. Joonas Korpisalo is the most overrated player in the League.

Yeah he had a great 9 game run if you discount the two games where he stunk. Doesn't really offset the half decade of consistently below average regular season results for me.
