this would be a nice haul for the isles. I don't think STL would want Komarov and retain.
also, with zero being heard from Ryan Murray's end, "sounds" like he might be headed to the island.

Agree on the Murray front. I guess I could remove Leo and send him elsewhere, but STL prob doesn't get a 1st in that case. I incorporated that into the price

yea, been a real fun, hot debate between fan bases because STL side insists he's healthy and isles must give up Beauvillier. NYI fans playing the he's a hit away from being an Andrew Ladd type of contract and are willing to give up the bare minimum.
if this is really what's holding up Lou, it will be really interesting to see how it plays out. rumors this morning on sirius-xm had the Rangers battling with the isles for him.
I'd love to see Ekholm over Murray but Murray only cost money and Ekholm is more pieces that NYI don't have a lot of. I put one up of Forsberg and Ekholm for Beau, Salo, Bellows and a pick. 2 expiring contracts for a chance to win and NSH gets 3 young pieces to build and a pick.

Let’s get real shall we, look at the price Preds got back from Ryan Ellis, an elite defenseman, underwhelming is a understatement. Robin Salo were one of the best D-prospects in Europe this past season, Beauvillier is almost as good as Forsberg right now. And you want to give them picks too? They’re rentals and Ekholm is 30+, it would be terrible for the Isles.

Besides Beauvillier, they're still prospects. Could Salo be a good player, maybe? I'd take this chance with 2 proven, NHL players. Only reason I'm moving Beauvillier is he's the rumored trade piece. I'd rather move him for a package like this then Tarasenko.

Okay, but imo this is exactly the same situation as when everyone wanted to trade Barzal for Duchene. Sometimes the best thing is to not go for the flashy new toy, just follow the plan and develop what you have..

I respect that. I like Beauvillier, he's an engine. The isles are going to have to find more consistent scoring. I know many fans hate the idea of trading Bailey. He would be my choice, but it's a way less attractive piece for another team unless you had quite a few things with him. Bellows, for whatever reason I don't think pans out well here with this coaching team and Salo or Bolduc should be your incentive pieces... both of them are not coming to play here full time anytime soon. 1, yes. both? no. as an organization, this is where they've failed in the past. need to figure out who's in the plans and who can be traded while their price is good to make the present roster better.

I don’t think you realize how good Robin Salo actually is that’s all… he was one of the best D in Europe last year, had a dominant performance in the SHL, something very rarely happens, in a really underrated good league. Almost everyone who has been that good in the SHL goes on to be a star in the NHL. Now, I’m not confident Salo will turn into an NHL star, but a really good player minimum.

But I hear what you’re saying, we’re in win now mode, we have to go for it hard every season, but not trade away our young core players, enough with the Toews esque trades. Bailey? Yes, absolutely under the right cirumstance.
