I don’t think so. You’re expecting a lot from Raymond and seider in their first year. The defence isn’t close to Ottawa’s

It’s not good, but it’s extremely promising. The potential is near limitless. Give this team 2 years, and it’ll be back in the playoff contention for sure.

Besides Chabot and maybe Zub, who will be a noticeable + fkr the sens next season?

All the wings D besides Staal are likely to be a positive for them

Chabot is better than every D in Detroit. Zub is a stabilizer , a very good player. Wish they signed him longterm. Brannstrom had very good analytics this year, was putting up points and was our best PP QB, he will be very good this year. Zaitsev has been pretty decent actually, there’s a reason he got protected. Holden, Del Zotto, Brown and Mete can rotate on the bottom pair.

If they had a true 1C and Larkin was slotted in at 2C yeah they'd be decent.

Have no fear it will happen. I mean they put Bertuzzi, Ehn and Erne together.

I think Ottawa is further along than Detroit. While things are starting to look up for Detroit but they are going to need a few of their recent draft picks make it to Detroit before I'd say they are good.

As a Detroit Fan I thank you for the compliment.

This team is definitely better than than lousy 2019-20 that went 2-1 against the Bruins.

Cool story, the last team in the league can beat the #1 team in the standings and yes it's a better team. The '19-20 was a disaster, this one is bad.

I like it but not a playoff team yet. Will definitely be hard to play against. Ottawa had a better head start by being able to trade alot of really good players for assets, Detroit didn't have those type of players to trade away for the most part.

Geesh, you’re wound up like a three day clock. It was just a little good natured ribbing between rival fans. Lighten up a little 🙂

Wasn't that the same team that swept Montreal 4 games to none? Hockey's pretty weird sometimes.

Seider and Raymond likely don't take top line minutes this season, but have the potential to be there in a few years.
Not a good team, but they're better than last season.
