Yes. Or at the very least I've hard time thinking what should I add there to still keep it realistic if we consider what we've heard from journalists and what they expected to be Sabres' ask. Consensus ask I've seen is two established NHL players, preferably under 25 year olds, two prospects and a pick - package total value around 4 firsts.

I could replace Frederic with Studnicka as BUF would probably require a solid C prospect too, but that's about it.

Bruins have the worst prospect pool in the league. Sabres want an all prospect return. So they are obviously not going to get Eichel.

Most likely. They're just a team with a need for future 1C as their core is aging.

They can try in 5 years when he’s a free agent.

Obviously they need a top line guy sooner than that and he's available to an extent as it's pretty much clear he's not going to play a single game in Sabres shirt. Those ties have been severed beyond repair.

Sabres fans think he’s worth 3 Wayne Gretzky’s. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The reality is they are not getting anywhere near what they think they are.

A 1st, high end prospect, a young roster player is about right, if they can squeeze a mid level 4th piece more power to them. And that’s if there wasn’t questions about his health.

That doesn’t mean they will trade him to the Bruins.

Well it depends on the return. Given how poor the offers reported thus far (NYR for example refusing to give up Braden Schneider in a trade for the guy) their choices are growing very limited.

Word of advice - if you believe that the offer Eichel will eventually get traded to will exceed this one put up here, I'm almost 100% sure it's going to be a massive disappointment for you.

I do believe they'll get a bit more than that, but I agree that the return is going to be significantly smaller than people originally thought half a year ago given the facts that have been reported thus far.

Again why would they trade him to a team with the worst prospect pool in the league. Plus pegula wants him out west. There’s less than a zero percent chance Buffalo trades Eichel to Boston.

I'm not saying they'll trade him to Boston. I'm saying they should trade him to a team with the best offer. Bruins' prospect pool is relatively weak, but it doesn't automatically mean the things they can offer would be inferior to others. It also depends on the willingness of other teams including their top assets in a potential Eichel trade.
