Spezza isn't playing center, especially on the 3rd line. Kampf is a lock for the 3rd line center and Brooks is the 4th line center. Spezza had a good season because he could expend all his energy in his limited ice time. He's to old for 3rd line minutes and they have him for 2nd pp and production on the 4th line.

He's added guys like Simmonds, Bogo, and Muzzin to his team. Sure he likes a more skilled team but the notion that he doesn't want to add anyone over 6 feet is stupid and incorrect. Kyle Dubas isn't completly stupid.
