I just don’t see a scenario where we keep Kane. If his wife’s accusations are at all true (which I think is very highly likely), I would hope the league and/or the Sharks org would kick his ass to the curb.

Don't think its the Sharks decision to make, the league will either ban him or not.

Wouldn't be a fan of bringing in Tatar unless Kane is gone, not with Hertl, Ferraro, and Knyzhov needing new contracts next year.

I'm thinking they might do it because they only have 2 LDmen and could use a 3rd pairing defensive guy like Simek to help them not get blown out every night since their roster took a big hit this offseason. Ilya's a UFA and replaceable if they re-sign Demers.

True it'll be up to the league. I think SJ's to this point been backing Kane fully, and who knows, maybe the accusations aren't true (Kane did have a great year and his statement seems consistent with that). I'm reserving any and all judgment until the investigation. (And even after then, on a personal note, whatever truth comes out, I'll just pity the situation and judge any bad actions as deservingly deplorable but not not judge the person themselves (Evander or Anna).)

Yea with this roster and adding Tatar they'd have to rid themselves of a contract next offseason. But IMO Tatar's worth it -- he's this year's Tyler Toffoli who I was (and a lot of others too) imploring DW to sign. He'd be a fantastic add.

I just dont think you trade assets for a 6th D man to play 15 min a night.

Kane maybe the league terminating the deal is a blessing for SJ. He cant really have any trade value after this (maybe Montreal since they have the ethics of an alley cat) and this is going to drag on and on so him playing up to high level or this not being a distraction for teammates that already dont seem to like him is not happening
