Fox ain’t gonna settle less than Makar. After these past few days, the defenceman price has gone up a lot with Werenski Jones and Makar all taking over 9 mil

so they don't need Jones. And no team really needs hajek. Chytil is good though.

He only wanted to play here so I’m assuming he takes a hometown discount to build up a championship caliber team … Like Landy just did for the Avs

He doesn’t seem like a team player. Yes he only wants to play for the Rangers but it seems like he served himself and will not want short of other competing defencemen like Makar and Jones

Bridge deals until Kreider and Trouba come off the Cap or their NMCs turn into partial NTCs in 2024

Yeah, Shesterkin and Fox are getting more. Plain and simple, if the Rangers trade for Eichel, there’s no way to keep Zibanejad.

Hes NY born and bred, he may not be the mouthpiece of the team, leading them out on the ice, but he has bled blue since his first breathe and Im sure wants this team to win. So its possible he takes the discount.

8 mill for both. If Fox takes 8 mill, that is a discount. You’re still over the cap in the above scenario

This only works if the Rangers pay up for Eichel, with Kakko for example, and they get Buffalo to retain 40-50% of the salary.

But then theyre in cap crap again the following year because they have to resign LAF, Miller and Barron with no cap cushion.

You've shown why Eichel and his cap doesn't work for the Rangers. And I can't imagine any team gutting their prospects and picks for Eichel either.
There is difference between trade value and on ice value.

I agree. He’s really not worth gutting the whole team for but we do need a legit younger top 6 center to grow with the young guys. Strome and Zib are in their late 20’s

I think Barron, in a year or 2, will at the very least be a 3C with potential to be a 2C. What Ive been preaching they do is go after Dvorak.
