Whoever gets Tatar won’t be disappointed. He’ll be one of the steals of the off-season.

I like this. I think the SEA move might be a bit optimistic in terms of value but I like all the trade targets and Tatar as a UFA signing at this point

I’d keep Jost at C even if it means moving him to 4C, and I think there are better options than than Lauzon and his 45.3 CF, but you definitely filled the holes.

Same with Max Pacioretty… oh wait. Tatar’s game doesn’t have anything that makes him inherently worse come playoff time. Just because he hasn’t lit it up doesn’t mean he’s a bad player, especially because he was in the coach’s doghouse the 2 times his team got out of the 1st round.

2 times from 2 different teams, and his career scoring average in the playoffs tanks. He is a fine regular season player, but COL should be looking to use their cap space on a solid dman, because as it currently is they are one injury away from a 3rd pairing of Jacob MacDonald and MacDermaind. They also have an abundance of young forwards that need to either play or be traded. Like I said I would rather see them go d now, and if needed added a winger at the TDL or sooner.

I prefer Lauzon of the two so I think SEA says no.

I had that thought on Lauzon, but he was also deployed in a lot of defensive situations. Tough to have a shiny CF% under those circumstances.

Edit: oh and I actually love that third line. Jost and Nuke need a guy who can finish. Kadri adds that component. I like Jost at C as well but think this looks good on paper.

His even strength CF% was 51.4%. All situations CF% is going to be lower cause he plays PK but not PP, I wouldn't look too much into that
