That's not better then the Vegas offer, Doubtful Buffalo wants Romanov and you need to at least add Kotkaniemi. Drouin is hot trash and has no value. If i'm Adams i easily decline that.

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not.

2 unprotected 1sts and Montreal hangs up the phone

You can flip the d prospects for forwards. Not sure how that's not enough value. Drouin is just to clear cap for mtl. use your brain.

More like you try using your brain, fat chance of Buffalo having any interest in Drouin what so ever.

Bro, Drouin doesn't add value to this trade. He's only being sent the other way to make the cap work for mtl. Romanov / Guhle are both future top 2-3 Ds in the NHL, 2 unprotected firsts, and Mysak a future bottom 6 NHLer.

Buffalo isn't getting more than this for Eichel, mark my words.

Also, since your brain can't comprehend what's going on in this trade, Drouin has 2 years left at 5 mil. Reasonable contract for him. Buffalo, who doesn't need the cap space right now, can let him walk after his contract ends.

@HabsShouldconsiderme I can't find any leaked Vegas offer, what was it?

Also, if the Habs are trading for Eichel, Suzuki or KK will have to be in the return, which is a no-go for me.

Add Romanov and Guhle for me. No go. Montreal needs puck movers and goal scorers. Eichel is not going to make the Habs better especially considering the return cost. No point being another Buffalo. Eichel is supposed to be an add. Listening to sabres fans you'd think they demanded to trade teams

I agree entirely. Jack Eichel is a franchise cornerstone player but as Buffalo has shown thus far, a franchise caliber player requires an at least decent team. Losing Suzuki, KK, or Caufield in a trade for Eichel just doesn't work. Sure we get a great player, but at what cost. If Buffalo would consider Romanov, Guhle, a player like Armia/Byron/Lehkonen, and a couple high picks as a legitimate offer, then this would make sense, but with the current offers on the table, it just wont work.

The only decent prospects I’d be prepared to give are LD like Harris, Struble but that’s also the Sabres prospect strength so there is no deal here to be made.

Eichel would be an ALL in move and you’re NOT giving away legitimate corner stones if you are MTL

No you cant, thats why d prospects wont get Eichel, they arent as valuable as forwards and everybody has a couple in their system already

Seeing as Buffalo isnt taking D prospects for Eichel, mostly because they dont need them, and they arent that valuable, they will get much better

top 4 d prospects are much more valuable than wingers. Much harder to acquire a top 4 d than a top 6 winger. Everyone knows that. With two unprotected firsts buffalo can draft two forwards.

That leaves you with 2 first round forward talents, 2 top 4 d, and Mysak. Goodluck getting more.

Specifically not to Buffalo they arent, but even then I would highly disagree. Buffalo has a top 4 pretty much set in stone, just need to wait till they graduate to the NHL

Maybe lower your expectations on your return for Eichel. He's an amazing player, but teams are giving up cornerstones to acquire him. If they were, he'd be traded by now. Have fun with Reilly Smith and Peyton Krebs. Oh wait, Vegas didn't even want to give Krebs....

Theres a difference between lowering expectations and trading him for players with less value and they have no need for
