You don't know how trades work. Deal with it.

Enlighten me smart guy. How do you they work? How is a team like the Sabres moving dahlin and eichel without getting one elite prospect back logical?

"You don't know how trades work" - The person who literally just asked Buffalo for their franchise center and their franchise defenseman in return for a rental, a b-level prospect, a few picks of which only 1 is of any value, and 2 decent players, and then also trades our best defenseman for a player with 1 year of term to play 3C. Nice one
Dahlin, Rasmus [RFA Rights] = Rielly, Morgan + 2022 2nd round pick (TOR) + 2023 3rd round pick (TOR) I think I am being generous as Dahlin has a HUGE upside, much more than the picks, plus considering the age and salary difference.
Rosén, Isak [Reserve List] >= 2023 1st round pick (TOR) a recent 14th OA for will most likely be a late pick
Eakin, Cody < Kerfoot, Alexander (Cody adds no value to the trade other than an over paid 4th line center)
Eichel, Jack ($2,200,000 retained) >> Abramov, Mikhail + Nylander, William + Amirov, Rodion
Take out 2nd, 3rd, Dahlin, Reilly, Eakin, Kerfoot and Abramov out of the trades.
Add Robertson (instead of Abramov) I think the trade is closer.
