Also, in the NHL, there is a vert thin THIN line between a Top Prospect and an ELITE Prospect.

I would personally consider Atu Rati an ELITE prospect because best case scenario for him is becoming a 90+ player and the worst case scenario he becomes a 20+ goal, 60 pt guy for ya in your organization.

Amirov could become a potential 70+ guy at BEST a 20/20 guy at WORST.

But yeah, you may want to dismount the high horse comments. IMHO, all these trades are lacking realism if that was your goal. Regardless of which player you think is worth this or that.

-When's the last time a 9 player trade happened between division rivals? Who cares if Nylander is this or that. The trade structure itself is so unrealistic that its a non starter anyway.

-Arizona isn't spending draft picks to add players since they're rebuilding, so there is no incentive there. They just spent the entire offseason trying to rebuild their prospect pool because they were barren of picks and prospects. Adding those two guys for picks makes ZERO sense from the point of view that they aren't trying to win now and they can fill roster spots without using draft picks.

-What the NYR are getting in return in that trade, once again aside from value of X player, doesn't even remotely fit their needs and/or profile at all. Its just a mish-mash of players put together where they take on more cap space than they're trading because......... no reason whatsoever.

But that's just my unknowledgeable opinion which is no more or less than anyone else's on this site.

Dahlin, Rasmus [RFA Rights] = Rielly, Morgan + 2022 2nd round pick (TOR) + 2023 3rd round pick (TOR) I think I am being generous as Dahlin has a HUGE upside, much more than the picks, plus considering the age and salary difference.
Rosén, Isak [Reserve List] >= 2023 1st round pick (TOR) a recent 14th OA for will most likely be a late pick
Eakin, Cody < Kerfoot, Alexander (Cody adds no value to the trade other than an over paid 4th line center)
Eichel, Jack ($2,200,000 retained) >> Abramov, Mikhail + Nylander, William + Amirov, Rodion
Take out 2nd, 3rd, Dahlin, Reilly, Eakin, Kerfoot and Abramov out of the trades.
Add Robertson (instead of Abramov) I think the trade is closer.

Rielly doesn’t have the value you seem to think he does, and particularly not to buffalo. A contending team might give up a first, but i don’t think much more than that. He’s a number 3 these days.
