The only reason Minnesota hasn't already signed Fiala to an extension is because he wants an obscene amount of money. Reportedly in the 8 million range. If they trade him, which is likely not in their interest, he wont be signing with you for that much

I like strome more than debrusk and hes a center so it ups his value. The fiala trade depends on what you think of studnicka. If you think hes a legit A prospect then it looks ok on paper. I'm not high on him though so I'd decline if I was minny

Yeah I know, its absolutely insane. Love the title change tears of joy

I do think Strome would fit in well. Guy could definitely use a change of scenery.

him and debrusk both could use the change. Both have regressed production wise the past 3 years. might need a little balancing out on the value but its a doable deal.

Strome hasn't regressed the past 3 years, the last year yes. The year prior he was out with injury and a bad flu and came back and played wing for 20 games which didn't go well. Subtract those 20 games and his points were on pace for the year earlier....also the first year with the Hawks. So a season and a quarter strome hasn't been great.

That said, can't see the Hawks trading Strome for Debrusk straight up.

I can't blame him for wanting the $7m/yr (depending on the term). He played with absolute garbage linemates last year and was on a still 65p pace for the season. He was pushing a 70p pace the year before with adequate linemates.

$5.5m-$7m is the range I've had him in depending on the term.
