    LD is the literal last thing Buffalo needs to add, swap Simek for a forward prospect and its close, depending who it is

    Swapping Simek with John Leonard may make sense here.

    Nothing here really gets an Eichel trade done.

    Meier has had a couple mediocre to bad seasons in a row.
    A pair B tier prospects and a heavily conditionalized 1st in 2022 isn't worth a 1C, even while injured.

    SJS has a singular prospect even interesting to the Sabres in Eklund so he would be required along with a 1st that is at most Lottery protected.

    At this point, it would be beyond ludicrously foolish to think an Eichel trade would warrant Eklund coming back in return even in a 1-for-1 deal.
