Can Not see Yzerman trading for Kuzy and his off ice issues. Not his type of player and could be a problem in a young locker room.

Veleno is much younger and hopefully he progresses this year to the 3rd line center.

Kuzy contract will throw Yzerman's cap plan out of whack

Rasmussen again is a very young player who because of rules had to play way to early without any minor league training.

Just makes very little sense for Wings, Kuzy is just to dangerous to play with in a young developing locker room

I wouldn't worry it won't happen.

Personally I wouldn't give up Wallinder to get a 29yr old winger but the rest of that package is really bad.

Since when did rebuilding team start giving up 10 assets to get 2?

Wallinder is probably a B- prospect, but his defending is nowhere near NHL level at this time. So he's closer to a longshot than a sure thing, and will take a few years to be ready even if he has an NHL future. In other words, he's worth way more to the Wings than he would be to the Blues.

And a 29yr old winger with a cap hit of $7.5M for the next 2 years makes a lot of sense for a rebuilding team he had what 7 goals in the last 2 seasons combined.

Yeah, except I never tried to send him to Detroit. I'm operating off of OP's scenario.

Which is a good thing because Detroit wouldn't give up Wallinder to get him.
