Makes no sense for Detroit. If NYR aren’t willing to trade Lundqvist/Schneider and VGK Krebs then Seider is definitely off the table as he’s at least one tier above them.

Can’t see Yzerman doing this deal. He’s building this team from the ground up like he did in TB. And the DET fan base is willing to be patient and trusting of the GM because, well, it’s Stevie Y and he’s one of the best GMs in the league (and maybe the best).

Moving Seider at this point, even for Eichel, seems like a deviation from the Yzerplan.

DET should be a playoff contender again in 2-4 years. Once the prospects start pushing the roster forward, that’s the time to look to add another big name. Not yet I don’t think.

Noway Jack Eichel is damaged goods right now, Larkin, Seider potential top 5 pick in a strong 2022 draft field. Detroit easily declines. Like the others have said make no sense for either team.
